IAFF 2012 Convention - MDA's Shaun Probert
We have lost a great fighter. Hero. Messenger. Father, friend. I have followed his story over the past few years. Please click on above link in blue letters. you will cry. We should all cry! He was pleading for his family and for all of us! When I stop and think about all of the craziness that surrounds our state and country pertaining to new stadiums, players' salaries etc. and this sick man and his little daughter, how he was pouring out every emotion within his power to help others afflicted with muscular diseases, I am literally sick to my stomach. He talks about filling the firefighters boots with spare cash...for research and everyday items for people. Please don't talk about new ipads, cell phones, cars, stadiums and salaries around me. Or how fat you think you are. Or how tired or sad you think you are. There are people dying everyday who are dedicating their short lives to what really matters: hope, dedication, love. And appreciation for good health and happiness and appreciating what you've got. We should all be able to fill a boot or two. Support your local MDA! God Bless Shaun's kids. Peace brother, you fought a great fight. http://www.youtube.com/v/NtsdaXxXajo? version=3&autohide=1&autohide=1&showinfo=1&feature=share&autoplay=1&attribution_tag=3FaJJKaYJJIgV5OVgl0eEw
