What's up with the Wheelchairlady? Well, I do have a few things on my mind. First of all, that terrible housefire on Smith Ave. where the senior couple perished is my sister's fiance's Aunt and Uncle. Such a terrible way "to go." She was on the main floor in a back bedroom. She had been struggling with stomach cancer and was down to 70 lbs. He was in an upstairs bedroom and found on the floor, I'm assuming he was trying to get out. When fire and rescue arrived, it was already too late to go in and attempt a rescue. Their grown children had recently made sure that their smoke detectors were updated. They were heavy smokers. It seems like it's usually an unattended cigarette that causes so many of these fatal fires. This past january, one of their grown children had died. Now, the remaining 4 children have lost their parents and their childhood home. So sad to think about.
