Shopping for greeting cards is not my favorite thing. There are soooo many of them and they can end up being expensive and I get overwhelmed and would rather be doing something else. Part of this may be due to the fact that I can't reach a lot of them. Anyways, I had a few things to pick up at Target and am going to celebrate my younger brother's birthday this weekend, so okay, let's go find the cards. I was not in my usual Target, so I was feeling a little discombobulated and kind of tired out and a little more uninhibited if you will? I just wanted to grab and go, but couldn't because most of the "humor" cards were so incredibly stupid that me and my nurse just started laughing and cracking up so much so that it ended up taking about a half an hour to find the card that I chose.I had her reaching and grabbing and laughing so much that she started cry/laughing and my breath got taken away a little from laughing and I'm on a vent. (that's a lot of laughing) Sure, there are new sections of cards like: Go Girl, and Retro-Fun or something like that. The humor/brother section is really in need of a re-vamp. There were maybe 10 to choose from and decrepidly old wisecracks. I wish I had a good example, but can't come up with it now. Things like, "you were a pain...but NOW! and Mom liked me more than u..." Really tired old cards.
So, the moral of this blog is take 2 kind of stressed out and in a hurry women shoppers who haven't had a break and show them to the humor section of greeting cards and see what happens. Lots of laughing is promised and exhileration to last all afternoon! We laughed out all of our frustrations.
