When crooks are casing this apartment building, do they not realize that we are located approximately 120 yards away from the POLICE STATION? Evidently not, read on.
Yesterday, at our elementary school session, a young boy came up to me and told me he had seen me at my apartment building and it turns out he lives here too. Teacher came by and said 'did you tell Ms. Foxley what your Dad did this past weekend?" Then the boy started to tell me how his Dad was in the underground parking garage early this past sunday morning, around 6:00am. He came upon two men who were acting startled and strange. Chris, the Dad, called our office manager and then police. The 2 robbers were caught not far from here in a stolen car, several violations listed and a back seat and trunk full of stolen property. I did stop in the office and talked to the manager and they are still investigating how they came in and if they are connected to any of the residents here. When this happened a couple of summers ago, there was a connection. It seems they knew what they were doing because their car was parked out of range of the security camera. Parking garages are always kind of an ominous place for me. Now, more than ever it has reason to be. You never know what could be lurking in the shadows. My being cautious, scared and creeped out is justified. Fear is a gift of awareness.
