I'll Take It

Good morning everyone. I have to say that we Minnesotans can't complain about snow anymore. I say this because look at the unrest in Egypt. The violence and uncertainness that is happening. I watch coverage of the unfolding events and can't believe my eyes. I also feel sorry for the occasional camel or horse or donkey that is dragged thru the middle of a crowd. They have these looks of terror on their faces. Hard to watch.
The terrential rain and a cyclone in Australia is another tough story. A facebook friend is experiencing non stop rain and leaking all thruout her home. We have to take a moment and appreciate what we have. Snow and cold and snizzle(snow and drizzle) and snirt (dirty snow), but we hopefully have warm clothes and chili and soup and HOTDISH!
My visit at school went well. A lot of smiling faces and very cooperative to work with. Am I smarter than a third grader? That would be no. I was helping two boys out with a reading and vocab. test and they had to pick a word from a list of four that didn't belong. i saw the word WRING and it didn't connect. The boys insisted it was right and I told them I thought it was a trick and wrong...then Ms. Conroy told me, you know, like wring out a towel. Oooooooh, that wring. Can't win them all, but I've always prided myself on being a good spelher. Gotcha!

  1. Don't feel bad, Colleen! Happens to me all the time, and I have that teaching degree! Being in our forties, we can blame it on estrogen! (and that is a big word I just spelled!)
I thought of you this morning as I was reading the paper. There was an article in the Trib. about a woman with muscular dystrophy who wasn't allowed to fly on a plane because her equipment weighed too much. My mother claws sure went up; I am sure because I thought of YOU!
    Happy WEEKEND (almost!)
