Hey all. How are you today? There seemed to be a lot going on around me this past weekend. My friend, Laurie's Mom had to have emergency surgery. they are such a strong family, that I know it will all be ok. She is a tough cookie and would never complain about pain, but this time, she was really in severe pain. She had abdominable issues and thank God Laurie could be with her. I'm sure they're exhausted and I just wanted to give them a shout out and say that I am thinking of all of them.
We had a good superbowl party at my Mom's. Complete with Pizza Burgers. The traditional kind made with SPAM and groundbeef. They were delicious I must say. Thanks for having us all over. Then, we had our usual fun with the puppy bowl, playing games and oh yeah, actually watching some of the game. Me and my lil' sis. had a spat about the girl from Glee, Lea Michele,(whom I like) and Christina Aguillera, who she likes...we've been good for so long about no spatting, but we went there. Just a little, then I tried to squelch it.
During the party, my Nurse Jen found out that her Aunt and Uncle's house was being destroyed by fire. So, that wasn't good. All in all, a tiring day. Glad to be home and a fresh monday is upon me.
Oh, also yesterday, I was watching a lady in my building moving her posessions out with police escorts. Realistically, I know this is a good thing, but still hard to watch, so I tried not to. She was smart to wait for the police to come and help her out. I had seen her boyriend or husband leave and she had the 2 little kids and it looked like her sister. Since the kids are so young, I'm hoping that this activity doesn't become one of their earliest memories.
Not much else going on today. Looks kind of mondayish outside, which translated is dark, cold and windy. On that happy note, take care and find someone to give a hug to.
