Very Different Strolls.
We just had the most glorious weather weekend here in Minnesota. I knew that I had to take advantage of it and decided to take my first stroll on saturday. I had wanted to stroll down by the Mississippi before the cold weather sets in. We started at the Stone Arch Bridge. There was so much going on. I wasn't the only one being drawn to the beautiful river. We saw two bridal parties capturing their special days. I had to shout out "congratulations!" to one of the stunning couples. There was a man playing guitar and people were gathering around him. An Octoberfest type market was going on by the Mill City Museum. So many things all around and it felt like such a happening. Then by contrast today, I knew I had to hit "my" trail. After yesterday, I wanted to ride along my quieter and more secluded stretch of thick, gorgeous nature.
It felt great. I passed only maybe 20 or so bikers/walkers as compared to hundreds of people yesterday. I consider myself so lucky to have had both rides. And both are going to be so memorable when I am staring out at deep snow! My memories are everything to me! I hope you are soaking it all in like me. It is going to be so hard to say goodbye to these wonderful, warmer days.
