The Start of the New Year is CRAY-CRAY!

I thought 2014 was going to come in like a lamb. It has not. First, I had to recover from a pre-Christmas illness that totally zapped my energy and shook me up. Since I am already on life support, I get a little nervous when not feeling well, because where would I go from here? You can't get much more help than a ventilator! The anti-biotic kicked it to the curb and I am grateful to be feeling so much better and have my strength back. Well, today went completely cuckoo for me when I discovered my apartment furnace was not working. This was at 6 a.m. And of course, I had a new nurse to train in this morning. So she got in on some of the apartment chaos. The manager lady coming in about 3 times, dog barking at everyone, each time, me going down there 3 times, the maintenance guy coming in and out about FIVE times. More barking. It was around 6:30 pm when he figured out that he had to order a new part. It was 59 degrees in here at that point. He brought me 2 space heaters which are helping. Of course, one more event happened when my nighttime nurse had to call in and the office sent out a new gal who got lost on her way here...in the sleet! I met her downstairs and we hit it off right away. She has been telling me some good stories. Every nurse and everyone! has a story. So, a chilly night ahead, but there was a light at the end of the dark, tunnel of today. I found a great, easy going new night time nurse. It is good news. 2014 is on a sudden up swing. It appears so anyway. Stay tuned!
