Wheelchair Doctor
After a field trip to the wheelchair shop, my chair is as good as new. My control panel was replaced as I sat in it, in the shop. It was a strange feeling. Like I was at the doctor or dentist. The chair is such a part of me . Plus, the guy had on rubber gloves and a face mask. (he had a cold) We found out that the malfunction that I was dealing with for 3 weeks, didn't have to be. I had the power all along to make the chair work without the broken part of the panel! It's too bad that the tech. who had made a service call and home visit couldn't have told me that! ugh. I immediately felt like the Wizard of Oz's Dorothy when the good witch tells her she had the power all along to get back home. A little dramatic I know. My wheelchair doc. told me that my chair is 5 years old and I should start working on getting a new one. WORKING on is right. The one I have now, took 2 years to get. So, I may as well start the process now. Another ugh. I just told my son's friend that being disabled isn't for sissies. The day ended up even better because we were able to pick up little Nina and take her out to the store for a few goodies and Zantigo for a bite. She was all smiles and so was I. Will hopefully see her every couple of weeks! Ok, you're up to date!
