Neveah Is Heaven Spelled Backwards
I went to visit my favorite 3rd grade teacher today and met a brand new fantabulous group of third graders. These kids were very friendly and attentive as they listened to me and my story, (the abbreviated version) and asked many provocative questions. My favorite was how do I go up stairs? I am usually a bit apprehensive when it comes to trying to learn new names. Today, I decided to not put pressure on myself and learn 7 names at a time. So, with a circle of kids around me, and each reading a page at a time, I did the Name association game in my head and it worked! We had from left to right: Megan, Scandinavian looking, Legend, very tall, blond and sporty. Kammie (with a K) Sam, he looked just like the little boy character SAM from Sleepless in Seatle, Lillian(Lilly) who was soft spoken and fraqile as a Lily. and Krista! Super sweet and strawberry blond ya sure. When I asked another little girl named Neveah if she had any nicknames, she said, "no, but if you spell heaven backwards, it is Neveah." I just thought it was so cute and clever. Just like the little girl named "Pepsi," I will not soon forget her! I've heard that there are drawbacks in the classrooms and in life for unique names, but to me, they are only positive.
