Once You Get There

It's fine. Once you get there. We circled around the main area several times before we remembered that there were good accessible spots right in the heart of the action. The Uptown Art Fair was spectacular. The weather, the sights and sounds. Where else can you see such "Art Fair Fashion?" as I call it. The women display such intricate jewelry and clothes! There was a woman in front of me at one time who had an intricately woven gold toned tank. Another who had bone earrings and the foot jewelry! This is becoming a popular trend and I'm not surprised. Well, a little surprised because I have enough to do just getting my earrings and scarf on for the day. I can just see me asking my nurses to get out my jewelry box of ring toes and ankle bracelets as well. While strolling along, I noticed a familiar face. A man that I have known since grade school. Scott Flesch. Him, then me. Flesch and then Foxley. Sat right next to him for highschool graduation. My ex-husband knew him too. He was with his wife and I haven't spoken to them in sooo long. Their daughter is friends with one of my nieces, but again, the connection has been lost. Of course, now I wish I had spoken out, but didn't. Once in a while, I have a low-confidence moment. After all of these years, not sure why. Live and learn! Nonetheless, it was good to be out of my comfort zone and daily routine for a while. Hope you had a fun, summertime day too.
