You Know You're Old

When Mary Richards from the Mary Tyler Moore show proclaims that she is "31" in a certain episode. When did Mary get to be younger than me? And when did Murray get to be a fashionable, and elegant man? Well, I may exaggerate but he looks more appealing and charming also. Everyone is constantly changing and getting older. Afterall, life's about changing, nothing ever stays the same. Today I had a series of three great things happen in a row. One, my daughter was promoted on her new job. Two, a new overnite nurse is being sent here to meet me on wednesday. And 3, my old neighbor Don was driving by and stopped to chat and catch up. We are going to visit him (where he lives across the street) from our old house. It always feels surreal when we go back, but i am reminded of the best possible parts of that old neighborhood. The friends that me and the kids met and lived by. They are truly, life-long friends and family.
