So Young

Such sad news to wake up to this morning. Facebook was lighting up with the morbid news that a local, young man had committed suicide in his back yard last night. Mack and his friends are friends with the man's little sister. I tried to ask a few questions and then decided to just listen to their conversations instead. He was awaiting trial for assaulting and other severe charges. I'm kind of surprised that he wasn't waiting in jail. At any rate, I don't have a lot of information by any means. I could really feel all of their wheels spinning. His mother was the one who found him. Hanging in their backyard. Just surreal. There was also a consensus of the group of wishing that they could have helped in some way. Or had more foresight. Such pain. the pain you don't hear about everyday. So young at just 22. Bless this shattered family in our community.
