Little Things, Like Life Support
I have written several times before about my monthly trach. changes. To me, it is an ordinary thing. Just a sterile, medical procedure that most would only have performed in a
medical hospital. Well, I have had the trach. change once a month for the past 12 years. Twice I had it done in an emergency room setting. It was never completed without stress and trauma. I have come to find that all I really need is someone who knows how to do it! Someone with a little confidence and a little experience doesn't hurt. It is Nurse Jen and thank God for that. She and I don't "over-thonk" the procedure and it only takes a a matter of seconds. Good to go for another month! We just manage to get things done and keep on moving forward. Success.
