Oh, The Relief

Harmon the eaglet was returned to his family nest on late sunday afternoon and his parents finally came back home late afternoon monday. It was a long 25 or so hours. I was kind of giving up hope for the reunion and that's not me. I'm usually the optimist about everything. It's really been an emotional ride for me and those around me. Me and my youngest sister have been on the phone several times watching together. We couldn't believe the drama that kept unfolding. The little eaglet is named Harmon after the famed Harmon Killebrew.  Well known Twins baseball player. I believe he passed a year or so ago.  Anyways, what a moving story with a peaceful ending.

Busy around here lately. Still getting used to the house having a bit more commotion. All good though. Tonight it was fun watching the kids groom Brody the pup. They were very professional and not nervous at all. This attitude seemed to help Brodes  .He did not flinch once and needed very little restrain.

Well, back to school tomorrow where I will see the newly hatched baby chicks. How neat for the classroom to be able to watch and care for the little fluffies.

Lots of birds this week! Have a great evening/day!
