Our Hockey Star

I just happen to be related to a real sports star! It is my eldest niece Maddie Peake. She has played a major part in leading her Moundsview Girls Hockey team straight to the State Tournament which begins this week. She is the top scorer in her division I think.  My entire family is extremely proud of the young woman who has grown up throughout her entire young life playing hockey. There is a group of 5 seniors(Maddie included) and they have been playing together since they were in 8th grade and recruted to play for Moundsview. BEfore that, I think she has been playing since 5 or 6 years old. I want to salute her Mom, Dad, and little sister for all of their dedication and support they have shown in such a positive way. Always a good sport and no one deserves it more than this family and team. They have all been through a lot together. So, I just had to proclaim that I'm very proud of my niece and love her so much. Keep on going for it Maddie...and team! A lot of excitement awaits you. I get to go see the game this thursday and so looking forward to it. Love the atmosphere surrounding state tournaments.
