Or good evening depending on where you are in this wide world. Shout out to Andrew R. in Australia...please write and let us know about the after effects of the terrible flooding. Hope all is going as well as can be expected.
Have you ever sent an email to someone by mistake? Well, I did. Not a good feeling. Lets just say I was releasing pent up feelings and I didn't send it to the person that I intended, I sent it to the subject! Are you following? As it happens, this Freudian slip will benefit me in the long run. We are back on track, just awkward.
Well, everyone is bearing down and bracing for ten or more inches of snow...heard it being referred to as "Snownami." Then I heard our weather woman, Belinda say that "oh no, Winter is far from over." Well, isn't that special!
Always remembering the pioneers during big snows like this. Can you imagine that every time they had to use the bathroom, they had to go to the outhouse which is hard enough, but when there was blinding snow, they had to rely on grasping a rope to find their way to and fro in the snow! So, when we think of that, the snow isn't so terribly bad. Today, Iplan on looking at a lot of really old family photos. at a birthday gathering for me at Mom and Dad's. We're talking the albums from the 30's. We didn't really have my Dad's parents as compared to my Mom's. So, it will be fun listening to my Dad tell us what he can about his family. His Dad died when my Dad was very young. I think he was 9 years old. Several years back, during one of my hospital stints, there was a family reunion on my Dad's side. I was given a memory book with stories and photos. to commemorate the event. I was battling pneumonia at the time, and found out that is what my Grandpa Foxley had died from. I recall it being a very uneasy feeling. It gave me more reason to fight thru the illness tho. I didn't want pneumonia to be the only thing that I had in common with him. I feel badly that I never got to meet him. Photos. can tell a thousand words though, so today I'll be listening.
