Happy Birthday to Me!
Is it wrong to wish yourself a Happy Birthday? Who knows or cares, but I'm different than some other people when it comes to their birthdays. I actually LIKE celebrating the gift of growing older and wiser. Not to be Debbie Downer, but about ten years ago, when I was in fragile health, birthdays were far from my mind. Now, I can celebrate every happiness. Enjoying my friends, family, watching my kidlets get older. Not really celebrating the empty-nester feeling which comes around more often, but other than that I am A-Okay! I love this version of the Beatles singing the Birthday song. It has the go-go beat that will keep me energetic for a long time.
Update on my Great Grandma's(Oma's)rosary. I told my mother that I was pretty sure I had more of my "stuff" in her basement and she went thru some of it. She found it! So, soon I will be reunited with it. It was kind of funny because Mom had just finished telling me of a photo. she had found of me and little brother all dressed up and posing with our dog Tinkerbell. I was five at the time and Tinker died sometime during that year. Well, of course I remember sobbing when I heard about poor Tinker and my Mom brought me the rosary beads and said "here, pray with these, it will make you feel better." From then on, every time I even looked at the beads, I felt better. That's why I was kind of freaked out when I couldn't find them. Quite relieved.
Happy Birthday to you Dear friend!!!
