Women As CEO's

Did you know that only 14% of CEO's in US are women? Women who are high up on the ladder do say that is a difficult climb, but not impossible. They say it is do-able with outside help with raising their children. All I have to say is to this is "well, yeah. Duh!" Throughout our country's history, professional men have been climbing and leaving their families to be cared for by their wives. So, women CEO's deserve to have as much outside help as they need too. Everybody needs a wife!

Yesterday was the one year anniversary of the earthquake in Haiti. I happened to be browsing around the department store Kohl's to basically get out of the house. My nurse happened to have on of the coveted 30% off coupon good on everything in the store.  Things on sale too.I have to say that we did well. Neither of us "needed" a thing. So, we would stop, check out the already really low prices on things like;winter accessories, gloves, slippers etc. Just kept going. Sheets, home decor etc. and then we came to the 70% off purses and things in that department. I actually spotted a great purse. Dark green, nice size for riding around on my lap. Then I thought to myself, do I really NEED this purse? Just because it's cute and on sale? I have maybe 3 that I use and rotate, so this wouldn't be a purchase of necessity. Then I thought to myself, there are people still living in tents in Haiti and they are battling illness, food shortages and basic neccessities. I do not need another purse!
