What Are Your Tactics?
I am talking about winter survival. Not Outdoor survival, but indoor. MENTAL. Sure, we have so many modern conveniences of which
to help survive a cruel and mind blowing winter, but it is still grueling and mind blowing. I do believe that to survive a long and grizzly Minnesota winter, one must be mentally equipped. Both with a happy and positive disposition and cable TV can't hurt! I am grateful that I was born with the tools to do without. Not food or shelter or basic necessities, but do without any of the over and above items. Like; computers, excessive phones, over the top Even tonight, I am here with my son and his friends talking and laughing about the ordinary and simple, fun things that make up our world. Like a microwave pizza. Love the ones your with. Look forward to better weather and just hold on. On a serious note, (because I've been there) your thoughts and moods can feel very scary and hopeless. Please reach out to someone whom you feel even a small connection with. I have often shared my mom's thoughtful quote," this too shall pass." But alas, we all need extra help now and then. You are so wise. Dig deep within and think only positive thoughts. Celebrate that fact.
