The Kind of A Day
Yesterday was the kind of a day that makes me realize how underrated being spontaneous is. I was able to be at my parents' house for a family garage sale yesterday. Chatted it up with their neighbors, enjoyed some perfect weather, enjoyed some laughs. Then I went to my old neighborhood to visit with my old, neighbor gentleman. He had completely cleaned out his garage so we could enjoy a pizza party with a few of the elder neighbors. The weather was perfect. I couldn't go home when the visit was done. the neighborhood bar still has wednesday BINGo, so that's where I was able to laugh and laugh. It was a special, summer escape day and I needed it.
When "they" say that laughter is the best medicine..."they" are so right! I got to ride up the elevator with the really cute, young man who is leaving the apt. that I will move into next week. That is a weird experience. He doesn't know that I will move into his apt. soon. Almost kind of a commonplace "thing" in my world. Lately, it has felt like an anything can happen series of days. have a good one.
