Wild Kingdom
Yes, it's true, I have a great memory of my childhood. It was sparked again the other day when I saw a post from Facebook's Retroland and they showed a clip from Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom. Even the thought of this old show, brought back so many memories. I believe it was on every sunday night. I've written about our family tv hours, but this one really took me back. It hits home the idea that more is not better. More channels, more tvs, more technology in the house is not better. Less is more to me and it leaves me wondering, did I make enough memories for my kids? I would assume the answer is yes and hope it is. When me and my two kids start reminiscing about anything during their growing up years, I really gleem from the inside out. It makes me so happy when we are together laughing about memories. This is where I try to incorporate some of the funny traits there Dad is known for too. It helps me to categorize and put my memories in check, but I can tell it makes them feel good too so they can focus on their current lives and emotions.
