I know I write about a lot of nurse related things, but this one thing is something I never thought I'd have to write about. Lately, I have noticed that one of my overnite nurses has been using the bathroom without shutting the door. I know, right? I have been blowing it off. This morning however, it woke me out of a sound sleep. So I beeped her in and told her to open my cuff(which enables me to talk) and I said, "this is wierd, but have you been using the bathroom without shutting the door? She turned and looked at the door, paused and said oh, sometimes, I thought the light and fan would wake you up and I no, that it was the flushing that was waking me up. Now that I am writing this, I can't believe that I had to have that conversation with someone at 6a.m. Then I layed there wondering whether or not I was beng a control freak! I always try to preface these stories by saying how grateful I am to all my nurses, but once in a while, I just tend to dwell on dumb, little things too often!
Yesterday, It was so nice outside, that I took off for the trails. W hen I got there, unfortunately, there was still snow piled along the trails in various places. The sidewalks are not plowed during the snowy days either. So part of the time I was in the road and just zooming along. It was actually exciting. I didn't zoom out into the road when there were cars nearby. It just felt so good to be out there and breaking out of my day in and day out winter routine. Oh, and there was the bonus of SUNSHINE. And NO WIND. Today it is really foggy, so "whatever!"
Off to school pretty soon to soak up the youth. It will be fun to get back there again.
Not much else today. Have a good one!
