If you're a regular follower, by now, you know that my reality is not quite the same as everyone elses. Even though, I try to just go with the flow and remain mellow, life creeps in and seems to make it impossible. Ok, enough writer's mumbo-jumbo...tonight, I was taken a back when my daughter called to say that she was bringing grand-puppy back and that her much talked about boyfriend was with her. I swear that it was just 2 days earlier that she and I were discussing when and where the perfect place for her 2 favorite people were to meet. That's right me and him! Yawn and snooze....somehow, I intuitively knew that when I did meet this highly spoken about young man, it would be unplanned, unique and happy. It happened to be all of that. I looked somewhat presentable for a 1st impression. At least my hair was presentable for not going out and about today. My son came out to meet and greet with a firm handshake and the pup who came with them(daughter and Sean) was being well- behaved. A little cautious(as if to keep him on his toes)yet also just being her perfect, little bodyguard. Sean knew not to continuously try to look him in the eyes and win him over, but to let him come to him. Own terms. Good concept. At the end of the 1st meeting, I'm glad to say that her new, talked about boyfriend met all of my expectations. He was handsome, poised, intelligent and friendly.
Tonight, I have one of my regular, nighttime nurses here, so I am expecting a good night's sleep.
Same to you.
